What's the secret of making a success out of your hypnotherapy business? Well, the answer lies in just one word, Referrals.
Referrals, or recommendation, if you like, is by far the best form of advertising that a hypnotherapist can have. And what's the best way to get a steady, ever-growing stream of referrals? The best way is to be successful with your smoking cessation clients. Just think about it. If you stop a man, says a 30-a-day smoker, from smoking, he wants to tell the world. And he does. Not only that, everyone around him can see that he's quit smoking and they ask questions. Compare this with the case of a man whom you have cured of pornography addiction. For one thing, it doesn't show and secondly, he's unlikely to tell anybody, is he?
Reading the various hypnotherapists' forums on the Internet, it becomes evident that an appalling amount of money is spent by therapists on advertising, and this rarely turns out to be cost-effective. Recommendation, on the other hand is free. And when the referrals come along they already know that your therapy works. It worked for their friends, didn't it? They come to see you with built-in belief. When you've got this belief, you are more than half way to another successful outcome.
So, if it's as simple as that, why don't all therapists have a month-long waiting list?
The truth is that far too many do not get the success rate they'd like with their smoking cessation. Some even shy away from it. These are losing a lot of potential revenue.
Hypnotherapy is incredibly effective in stopping the smoking habit, but it's got to be done right. Over many years I have developed a wonderfully effective one-hour single Session Stop Smoking programme. This routine, for want of a better word, if done properly will bring amazing results and these will be reflected in your referral rate.
